Automate via shipping rules

Once you have imported orders into MyWuunder you can send a document, package or pallet in larger numbers in various ways and immediately create many shipping labels via Bulk books. If you want to use multiple carriers or transport services, it is possible to set this yourself as desired and this is automated via “Shipping rules”. This automates the entire shipping process and saves time.

If you want to adjust the content of an order during import, you can do that with the import rules. This is especially useful if you let the customer choose a shipping method in the checkout of your webshop. Via the import rules you can still adjust this choice of your customer. For example if you want to insure the shipment above a certain value.

Book shipments directly in the live environment

Go to the shipping rules page to set up your shipping rules. Select "Create new shipping rules". You can of course combine different rules. You can compose the shipping rules with the following variables:

  • Length, width and height (in cm)
  • Weight (in grams)
  • Value (in euros)
  • Number of items (in numbers of packaging units)
  • Country of the sender or recipient
  • Integration with which the orders are imported (for example WooCommerce or Magento)
  • Business or private delivery address (if business address is empty then it is a consumer as the recipient)

Note: via the shipping rules, we never adjust the information that you send via the Wuunder shipping module or API. If your customer chooses PostNL in the check-out, we think that choice is more important than a possible shipping line or standard shipping method (preferred service). If you still want to change the information sent with you, you can do so via the import rules

Handling example 1: insure valuable shipments automatically.

In the overview below, you will see a shipping line that ships orders with a value of more than 500 Euro as UPS Standard Insurance.

Insure your valuable shipping

HANDLING EXAMPLE 2: maximize your discount with the carrier.

With the shipping rules, the possibilities are almost unlimited. Suppose you get a discount at DHL parcel if you send multiple items to the same address (multi-packages). Then you can, for example, set all your multi-package shipments to be sent via DHL Parcel. Via the import rules you can create a multi-package order based on the product description of each order.

HANDLING EXAMPLE 3: Choose your favorite carrier.

Choose your favorite carrier per country, such as PostNL for shipments within the Netherlands and DHL to Germany and UPS to America. The same can be done with light or heavy shipments.

(Fully) automatically make shipping labels.

Once you have set up the shipping rules, import the orders via the Import button in MyWuunder. During import we adjust the orders based on the content of the import rules.

You can then choose via the dropdown menu to book the orders automatically according to the shipping rules or to do this manually via Bulk books. If no shipping rule applies to the order, we will book your order via the standard shipping method (preferred service).

If you import orders via an API, you can set the orders to be posted immediately. You do not have to press any button to start creating the shipping labels. You turn on the fully automatic way of booking setup menu by sliding the button (see below) to the right (it will turn green).

Post orders automatically

When booking we check whether there are any errors in the address details such as the absence of a place name. If booking is not possible, you will see that the order is given the status “Booking failed” or “Service not yet selected”. For example, if the desired service is not possible with a carrier. Read more about order validation through this link.

Save even more time by using Scan & print. Then you can immediately print the correct shipping label based on a scan of the barcode on your packing slip. Very easy!
