New UK shipment procedure
Since Brexit, procedures for shipping to the UK have changed somewhat. Since this concerns a new procedure for many recipients and lacks the necessary guidance, Wuunder will take over the collection of all necessary documents for Rhenus, for as long as necessary. Rhenus will also contact your customer, the importer. Shipments will only be processed when all documents, including those of your importer, are in order and present.
Keep the following in mind
These documents are necessary for proper clearance: a signed PoA (Power of Attorney), a clearance instruction (with EURI number, VAT number, origin declaration and HS code), and if your importer has its own customs agent, a Pre- lodgement import document also needed.
Clearly state the contact information of your importer on the transport order and invoice.
As long as the documentation is not provided completely and correctly, shipments will no longer be collected from 18 January 2021.
You send your own documents to Wuunder at the time of assignment. If Rhenus contacts your importer by e-mail, you will receive a copy.
Happy to receive our customer service the necessary documents for booking the shipment. Wuunder will then ensure that all documents reach Rhenus.

Rhenus only accepts shipments with a DAP delivery condition. This must be clearly stated on the invoice. Rhenus is working on a solution for DDP and EXW delivery conditions.
- Provide an original invoice with, if necessary, a statement of origin. This is only necessary for goods that come from the EU. For goods that come from outside the EU, stating the country of origin is sufficient. Signing must be done with a blue pen and a name in block capitals. PLEASE NOTE: due to an incorrect origin declaration, your importer may be confronted with an obligation to pay higher import duties. This can no longer be corrected.
If shipments are currently in transit, please send all necessary documents to as soon as possible [email protected]. Then we ensure that the importer is contacted.

Rely on a successful delivery
Always include the company name, contact person, telephone number and
e-mail address and limit the number of returns, if the driver, for whatever reason, is unable to deliver your shipment to its final destination. Very handy, because you remain responsible for the product until your customer has actually received the package.
