This privacy policy describes the work processes of Wuunder Nederland B.V., to be referred to hereinafter as “Wuunder”, with regard to the collection, use, disclosure, and retention of personal data (as described below) that you provide to us directly, via our app, and/or via our website. Please read this privacy statement carefully before using our app and/or website and before providing us with personal data via our app and/or website. The current app and website are managed, including on behalf of the other entities in the group, by Wuunder Holding B.V., having its registered office in Sint Odilienberg, the Netherlands, and they are thus subject to the laws of the Netherlands.

Personal data

Examples of customer data we collect are names, information about your shipment, photos of shipments, locations, etc., addresses, e-mail addresses, telephone numbers, texts sent by mobile telephone, and messages sent via WhatsApp. Part of the information Wuunder collects consists of data that relates to an identifiable person (“Personal Data”).

Collection of Personal Data and the purpose of such collection

Wuunder collects and retains information about each shipment we handle so that we can deliver these shipments efficiently and in accordance with our customers’ expectations. Wuunder uses the data about our customers, their shipments, and their sender and/or recipient profile(s) to supply or improve the services we offer our customers, to inform our customers about additional services that may appeal to them, to promote our legitimate commercial interests (including by preparing trend analyses and market studies), to determine our prices, to establish credit, to invoice our customers, and to comply with government regulations that apply to us or to our subsidiaries. The Personal Data we collect is used exclusively for the purpose of supplying our services, and we do not retain the data longer than is permitted by statute or necessary for this purpose.

Third Parties

While we collect and use data about our customers, we may engage subcontractors to process that data for the purposes stated in the previous paragraph. We may also ask our subsidiaries to process that information for those purposes on our behalf. These suppliers and/or subsidiaries must keep this information confidential and are not permitted to use it for any other purpose whatsoever. In addition, we may also, in proportion to the expansion of our activities, acquire or sell subsidiaries or business units. As part of these transactions, data regarding the customers of these subsidiaries or business units may be included in the commercial assets that are transferred. We continually check to ensure that the provisions of the applicable local laws and regulations are being complied with by external processors, such as suppliers and subcontractors, of the Personal Data we possess.

Honest and secure processing of your Personal Data

Our policy encompasses all of the steps necessary to ensure that all the Personal Data we possess is used honestly and legally. We take all necessary measures to implement and respect this privacy policy. All of our employees and data processors who have access to Personal Data are obliged to treat your Personal Data as confidential.

Transfer of Personal Data

In order to perform our services, your Personal Data may be sent to countries outside the European Economic Area where personal data laws are less comprehensive. The Personal Data that you enter on the freely accessible portions of our website can be consulted by persons outside the European Economic Area, in countries where personal data laws may be less comprehensive. Wuunder may be required to disclose your information to local or national governments, including foreign governments, in order to comply with applicable legislation or to expedite the delivery of your package to its destination.

Access and correction

Contact Wuunder via [email protected] if you would like to know what Personal Data Wuunder has collected about you. We will respond to your request within four weeks (but usually sooner). If we cannot release your Personal Data, we will always provide you a reason for our refusal. Please notify us of any incorrect information so that we always have correct, complete, and up-to-date Personal Data. We will then correct any incorrect or outdated information. You can cancel your account by sending an e-mail to [email protected]. Once your account is cancelled, Wuunder will delete all your personal information.

Wuunder app and website(s)

The following sections describe how we protect Personal Data on the Wuunder app and website(s). Unless expressly stated otherwise, we may use the information you provide to improve the content of our app and website, to tailor the app and website to your preferences, to provide information (at your request), for marketing and research activities, and for the purposes stated in this privacy policy. We may disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by applicable law, court order, or government regulation.

Collection of Personal Data on the Wuunder app and website(s)

Users can visit most of the parts of this app and/or website without disclosing their identity or any information about themselves. Some of our interactive services, however, require users to identify themselves. Wuunder may ask users to provide Personal Data via this app and/or website. This information may be shared with our subsidiaries.

Active collection of Personal Data and the purpose of such collection

During the use of the app and/or the visit to the website, Wuunder actively collects information about users by asking specific questions and offers them the option of communicating with us directly via e-mail/chat. Some of the data you enter on the website could be Personal Data. You may be asked to provide Personal Data in order to access certain parts of this website and to be able to use certain functions (such as e-mail warnings or newsletters). Each time you are asked for information, we explain what information is required and for what purpose.v

Passive collection of Personal Data and the purpose of such collection

The Wuunder app and website use HTTPS, a protocol that is layered on top of the Internet Protocol, to ensure that your data is always kept in a secure environment. Finally, the app and website use Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. An IP address is a number that is allocated to your computer by your Internet Service Provider in order to allow you to access the Internet. We use your IP address to investigate problems with our server, to collect statistical information, to determine the fastest connection between your computer and our site, and to manage and improve our site.

Cookies are small text files that are sent from an app and/or to a user’s browser and stored on their device (telephone, computer, laptop, or tablet). Cookies make using the app and website easier, because they store and manage status, usage, preferences, and other useful information about the user. Security

Wuunder takes all reasonable security measures to protect the Personal Data that is collected via the Wuunder app and/or website against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Be aware that no Internet connection is 100% secure or failure-proof. In particular, e-mails that are sent to or from this app and/or website cannot be secured. You must therefore exercise due care when determining what information you share by e-mail. If you also use passwords, ID numbers, or other access modalities on this app and/or website, you yourself are responsible for their security.

Links to other websites

For our users’ convenience, links or references to other websites are included on this website. Wuunder is not responsible for the privacy policy or content of those external websites, and this privacy policy never applies to those websites. We advise you to read the privacy policy of every website you visit.

Amendment

Wuunder can amend this privacy policy at its discretion. Wuunder will inform the users of this app and/or website prior to amending this privacy policy.

Final Provision

All of our work is subject to the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes may only be submitted for adjudication to the competent section of the Limburg District Court. These general terms and conditions have been prepared in various languages. In the event of any dispute regarding the substance and/or interpretation of same, the Dutch text and its interpretation under Dutch law shall prevail at all times.
