Automate order processing through import rules

When importing your orders via the Wuunder StoreSync: Bol.com, eBay, Amazon, Exact, through a simple CSV import or the Wuunder shipping module in your webshop you can have all imported orders adjusted automatically. Especially useful if your customer chooses a shipping method in your webshop checkout. Via the import rules you automate the processing of orders and you can still adjust this choice of your customer. For example if you want to insure the shipment above a certain value.

Once you have imported orders into MyWuunder you can send a document, package or pallet in larger numbers in various ways and immediately create many shipping labels via Bulk books. If you want to use multiple carriers or transport services, it is possible to set this yourself as desired via Shipping rules. This automates the entire shipping process and saves time.

Go to the import rules page to set up your import rules. Select "Create new import rules". You can of course combine different rules. You can compile the import rules with the following variables:

  • Description
  • Weight (in grams)
  • Value (in euros)
  • Desired service
  • Country of the recipient
  • Telephone number
  • Street number
  • Day of the week

Note: via the import rules we adjust the information that you send via the Wuunder shipping module or the API. If your customer chooses PostNL in the check-out, we will exceed that choice if you choose a different transport service in the import rules.

Useful example 1: Automatically create multi-package shipments

In the overview below you see a shipping line with which orders consisting of multiple items (containers / packaging) also receive multiple shipping labels. For example, if a product with the title "Bello dog house" consists of two packaging units. With the rule below you create two shipping labels for every order with the word “Doghouse Bello”.

Useful example 2: Insure valuable shipments automatically

In the overview below you can see an import rule that orders with a value of more than 500 Euro are shipped as UPS Standard Insurance. Especially useful if your customer chooses UPS in the check-out and you don't want the customer to choose between receiving via UPS with or without insurance. Useful example 3: Save costs by sending as a letterbox package, parcel or pallet

If a certain item is always sent as a letterbox package, parcel or pallet, you can automate this. For example, if a product with the title “Book” is always sent as a letterbox package, you simply make it a “Document”. Or always send a product with the title “Airco” as a pallet. You can also do the latter, for example, by creating an import rule based on weight. For example, if an order over 30 kg must always be shipped as a pallet.

Useful example 4: BOOK CUSTOMS SHIPMENTS FULLY AUTOMATICALLY

If you regularly send the same shipments to a country outside the EU, it is useful to create an import rule in which you have the necessary customs data entered automatically. You can not only create a rule per type of product but also generic if you can always use the same HS code, customs description and country of origin (Country of Origin).

Import orders with import rules

Once you have set the import rules, import the orders via the Import button in MyWuunder. During import we adjust the orders based on the content of the import rules.

You can then choose via the dropdown menu to book the shipments automatically according to the shipping rules or to do this manually via Bulk books. If no shipping rule applies to the order, we will book your shipment via the standard shipping method (preferred service).

When booking we check whether there are any errors in the address details such as the absence of a place name. If booking is not possible, you will see that the order is given the status “Booking failed” or “Service not yet selected”. For example, if the desired service is not possible with a carrier. Save even more time by using Scan & print. Then you can immediately print the correct shipping label based on a scan of the barcode on your packing slip. Very easy!

Automatically correct postcodes

We check whether the postcodes are in the correct format. For example, some carriers do not accept a Belgian postcode B-1234 but require 1234. Wuunder ensures that we automatically remove the letters. If you do not find this useful, you can turn it off here.

The automatic postcode correction is turned off by sliding the button (see below) to the left (then it turns gray).

Post orders automatically

If you import shipments via an API, you can set the orders to be booked immediately. You do not have to press any button to start creating the shipping labels. You can activate the fully automatic way of booking in the setting menu by sliding the button (see below) to the right (then it turns green).
