When can I reach Wuunder?

Wuunder customer service can be reached by email (Info@WeAreWuunder.com) from Monday through Friday between 8.30 am and 7.00 pm. On Saturday between 11.00 am and 3.00 pm. On Sunday and public holidays are we closed.

Where can I use Wuunder?

Shipments can be booked anywhere in the world. Shipments can be collected throughout the Netherlands. Collection outside the Netherlands? Then send an email to Info@WeAreWuunder.com

Why is Wuunder looking for testers?

We are looking for critical individuals who regularly send out shipments and who would enjoy further improving our service. You can use new functions before anyone else. What does Wuunder do for me?

Wuunder is a service that enables you to send & receive documents, packages, and pallets with ease within Europe ant the rest of the world. Using Wuunder, you can book a shipment very quickly, you always get the best price from well-known transport companies, and the sender and recipient can follow the shipment and stay in contact with each other using the chat function. Who can send and receive deliveries?

Everyone, companies as well as private individuals, can use this service from Wuunder.

The Wuunder App & browser
Retrieve your account / shipment history

Create a password in the setting-menu when you want to use your historical information on a new phone or browser. When temporarily need some space on your mobile you can delete the app and install it again later. With a password you can also use Wuunder on mobile, tablet, Mac or PC.

After downloading the app or when using the browser you just select you already have an account. Use your e-mail address and password and we’ll retrieve all information for you. If you have forgotten your password we can reset it for you. Just send an e-mail to Info@WeAreWuunder.com.

How can I change my personal information?
  • You can modify your personal details via the settings menu (your details). You can also easily add a photo or company logo here.
  • Send an email to Info@WeAreWuunder.com with your old and new mobile phone number from the email address that you have always used for receiving the invoice. We will ensure that your old details are linked with your new phone number.
Is it easy to search through sent shipments?

We have kept the app and browser as simple as possible and all details you might be looking for are included in the e-mail with the confirmation of your booking (order or invoice) You can therefore find all the details by looking in your e-mail program. It’s that easy.

You can also search for any shipment using MyWuunder. MyWuunder is build especially for managing high eCommerce volumes.

Confirm your personal details?

We ask you to confirm your personal details during your first booking. This is the personal information that is provided to the recipient. In most cases, this is the person who books the delivery. We state the address and (company) name on the invoice. The (company) name is also used in communications with the recipient. Only the invoice is sent to the e-mail address. Wuunder is using the telephone number if there are any questions regarding the payment of the invoice. The Chamber of Commerce number, the VAT number or department number are included on the invoice. Click on the skip icon >| if you do not wish to include this. You can modify your details via the settings menu, and you can also add a photo of yourself, or a company logo here.

Can I use a private telephone to send out deliveries on a company’s behalf?

It does not matter if you book with your own phone or with a phone belonging to the company where you work. When making payment, you can simply use your company’s corporate account.

Why does Wuunder need mobile phone numbers?

Your mobile phone becomes your address. You send shipments from person to person instead of to a permanent physical address. We use the mobile phone number to make contact quickly and easily with everyone in the chain.

If the shipper has not been using the mobile phone number of the receiver, then the receiver is not able to track & trace the shipment using the Wuunder app and browser. If the shipper has used an email adres of the receiver, then the receiver will get an email with a track & trace link.

How do I know that the text message /email is really from Wuunder?

We send all of our text messages via +32 460 20 57 18 and emails via noreply@Wuunder.co. As soon as you use the app, you will be able to see all messages directly in the app. You then no longer need to use the link in the text message or e-mail.

Why am I required to confirm my mobile phone number with a text message code?

We validate your mobile phone number in order to be sure that it is your number. We use this number also to inform you when you receive shipments via Wuunder.

What is in the new release?

As soon as we have a newer version, your browser and app are automatically updated. You will see what we have improved in the Google Play and Apple Store information.

What do I need in order to be able to use Wuunder?

Wuunder is available on your desktop, tablet and smartphone (iOS version 8.0 onwards or Android version 4.0 onwards).  You only require an internet connection and a printer to print out shipping labels.

You need an API key if you want to use the shipping modules, extensions or connect your webshop via API.

Can I ship right away?

Once you have installed the Wuunder app or browser, we ask you to verify your mobile phone number. After that you can make your bookings directly. You do not require a customer number or contract to send off your (first) shipment. You decide, per shipment, whether you want to use Wuunder:

How is my delivery insured?

The maximum compensation paid out by the transporter is limited to an amount of €3.40 (£ 3,07) per kilogramme, in accordance with the AVC terms & conditions [General Transport Conditions].

Why does Wuunder not work with contracts?

We want to keep it simple and do not believe in long-term contracts. With us, you decide per shipment whether you want to send it with Wuunder

SENDING SHIPMENTS
To which countries can I send shipments?

You can send shipments to almost all countries in the world. Is the country you want to ship to not on our list? Please send us an email and we’ll add this country.

Within EU member states no Customs & Excise documentation is necessary. An overview of these countries is available at: EU member states.

What is the difference between a corporate and a private address?

A corporate address is a business location, and a private address is a private house. Most carriers charge a supplement for shipments sent to a private address.

How can I send something to someone who is not in my address book?

You can add a new contact to your personal address book by pressing on the + button. We can look up addresses in the Netherlands for you. The postal code and house number are enough.

Press “Save” to store the contact details in your personal address book. You can retrieve this contact during another booking by entering the name of this person. Use “Edit” when you want to change the contact details.

If you have already a file with all your contact details we can upload these contacts to your personal address book. Just send us an e-mail. During the booking you can select your contacts and all required information is retrieved automatically. It’s that easy.

 

 

Where does the carrier deliver my shipment?

The shipment is always delivered to the ground floor. To deliver the parcels and pallets quickly the location must be easily accessible.

International trucks do not have a tail lift.  Please let us know when you want to ship pallets (groupage, LTL, FTL transport) and require a truck with a tail lift.

What are the delivery instructions for the driver?
  • We provide the recipient’s telephone number to the carrier delivering the shipment. In this way, the recipient can be contacted if necessary.
  • If you use a telephone number and/or name of the contact, this is usually printed on the shipping label that is stuck on the packaging.
Do you deliver to remote areas?

Our carriers deliver to remote areas and usually charge extra for this (out-of-area surcharge). We have already taken this into consideration in the rates.

Do you deliver to PO boxes or freepost numbers?

In the Netherlands you can send shipments to PO boxes or freepost numbers via PostNL. It’s not possible for other carriers to deliver in these locations.

How can I book more quickly?

If you have no personal information in your mobile phone address book, you must type in all the details (use the + button). By entering personal details into your mobile phone address book, you can select these easily and make your booking more quickly. If you have personal details in an e-mail, you can easily store this in your address book.

When you have booked a shipment we give you a suggestion for a contact. Selecting the suggestion will retrieve all contact details from the old booking.

You can use the Google Chrome extension to capture contact and address details quickly. Please click  here when you want more information.

Want to book quicker using your own data? It’s also possible to upload a CSV file with all your contactdetails.

The personal information used by Wuunder is incorrect

If the address book information of the person to whom you wish to deliver or collect is incomplete, we ask you to enter the postcode manually, for example. Wuunder does not change anything in your address book. So, if there is an error in your address book, you can only change it in your address book. Then you can re-book the shipment. The updated personal details are then immediately visible in the app.

Using a new contact

Create a new contact in the app by using the + button. It is easier and fast to enter the new contact on your mobile phones address book first.

Why does Wuunder want access to my contacts in the address book?
  • By using the information, you have stored in your address book, you can ship your goods much more quickly. Just as you would for WhatsApp and text messages, you only need to select the person. Wuunder presents the information from your address book in the app, after which you select the details you wish to use, such as the collection- or delivery address. The details you have selected are used to book a shipment, for example, or make a shipping label, etc. The information is naturally sent in a secure manner and via an encrypted connection.
  • Wuunder does not change anything in your address book. So if there is an error in your address book, you can only change it in your address book. Then you can re-book the shipment. The updated personal details are then immediately visible in the app.
  • Other users have no access to the information in your address book unless you share it with them. Wuunder will never sell your personal information to third parties. If you wish to know more about our privacy policy, please read our privacy statement link.
  • If you do not want to allow us access, you can still use Wuunder. You will, however, need to enter all of the information manually. Create a new contact in the app by using the + button.
To whom do you want to send a shipment?

This is the personal information of the person for whom the shipment is intended: the recipient. The driver who works for the carrier delivers the shipment to this address. Use a company name if possible. The e-mail address is used to inform the recipient about the arrival of the delivery, so he/she can track the shipment. We also use this e-mail address to provide the recipient (if possible) with more information about the delivery time. The driver uses the recipient’s telephone number if there are any questions during the delivery of the shipment. The shipping label can show these details.

Why do I need to enter the correct value?

Some carriers wish to know the value of your shipment in advance. This is your purchase value.

What are the maximum dimensions and weights I can send?

Maximum measurements of a package or pallet are: 240 x 200 x 100 (in cm) and a maximum weight of 50 kg for packages and 1,000 kg for pallets.

If a shipment weighs more than 50 kg, the use of a pallet is advised, so that the shipment can be transported more easily. If the transport company itself has to place the shipment on a pallet, this can result in higher costs. The carrier could also refuse the shipment.

Why do I need to enter the correct measurements and volume?
  • The transportation price is based on the weight and volume indicated by you.
  • Carriers check the weight and volume you have indicated.
  • If this turns out to be incorrect, the shipment will be charged at the weight and volume determined by the carrier.
  • You then receive a separate invoice.
When does a shipment become a pallet?

If a shipment weighs more than 50 kg, the use of a pallet is advised, so that the shipment can be transported more easily. If the transport company itself has to place the shipment on a pallet, this can result in higher costs. The carrier could also refuse the shipment.

What are the packaging standards?
  • Good interior and exterior packaging (no damaged packaging).
  • No wet, leaking boxes or boxes with water damage.
  • Stackable.
  • Not bundled together.
  • No heavy items in weak packaging.
  • Suitable for machine processing.
  • Can at least withstand a diagonal fall test from a height of 80 cm and a pressure resistance of 100 kilogrammes.
  • The packaging may not be perceived as provocative.
  • It must be impossible to open the packaging without leaving traces.
  • Able to withstand the influence of weather.
  • Where necessary use straps to reinforce the packaging.
What packaging can I use?

Carriers make a distinction between documents, packages and pallets because these determine how the shipment can be collected and delivered.  Documents and packages can be collected with a delivery bicycle or van. A pallet is a wooden or plastic plateau on which goods can be stored and transported. A pallet can be moved with a pallet truck or a forklift truck. Hence the transport of pallets is carried out using trucks with hydraulic tail lift. A tail lift  can lift up to 1,000 kilogrammes.

What substances may I not ship?
  • Prohibited substances such as tobacco and tobacco products, alcohol, perfumes, medicines, narcotics, ivory, weapons and ammunition.
  • Items that may not be shipped according to national and international legislation.
  • Products that require special facilities, safety provisions or permits.
  • Products that could be considered offensive, such as pornography or goods of a politically sensitive nature, must be packaged correctly.
  • Perishable items, plants, (living) animals, human organs or mortal remains.
  • Buckets, tin cans, jerry cans or fragile items (such as glass, ceramics, hard plastic, cast iron and pottery).</li>
  • Personal luggage.
  • Payment means such as money, coins, equity instruments, (gift) vouchers, entry cards or payment cards.
  • Items of exceptional value, such as jewellery, precious stones, precious metals, pearls, art objects, fur, carpets, manuscripts, valuable documents, data carriers with unique data and sculptures.
  • No dangerous substances such as chemicals, paint, fireworks, combustible substances, fire extinguishers, magnets, dry ice, batteries and car batteries (see hazardous substances).
  • Substances and objects that could explode.
  • Gases that are compressed, made liquid or dissolved under pressure.
  • Combustible liquids and solids.
  • Substances that are liable to self-combust.
  • Substances that develop combustible gases when they come into contact with water.
  • Substances that promote combustion.
  • Organic peroxides and poisonous substances.
  • Corrosive substances and substances that can cause infection.
  • All other substances that can endanger humans or the environment.
  • White goods, washing machines, refrigerators, dishwashers, ovens, microwave ovens, etc.
Am I permitted to send dangerous goods?
  • It is not possible to send dangerous goods (ADR).
  • In dangerous situations, a shipment can be destroyed to avert danger, without any entitlement to compensation for damage. Naturally you will be informed of this as soon as possible (afterwards).
  • If the shipment causes damage (consider damage to other packages, cleaning costs, replacement costs and physical injury), you are liable for this. In addition, you indemnify the carrier against any liabilities with respect third parties, which is the consequence of acting in violation of this condition.

COMMUNICATIONS WITH RECIPIENT
Chat between the shipper and recipient

With Wuunder you can send a shipment like you send a chat message. With the receiver you can chat about the shipment.

If the shipper uses the mobile phone number of the recipient and the recipient used this number to install Wuunder then the receiver is able to track the shipment using the app and/or browser. The shipment is automatically shown within the dashboard. From this moment the recipient and shipper can also chat with each other.

The shipper can ask feedback regarding the purchase, allow the receiver to return the shipment easily or sell additional products.

How do I take a picture of my shipment?

Click on the camera pictogram in the chat window. Then select OK to send the photo.

Why does Wuunder need access to my camera?

You can use the camera to take a good picture of the shipment contents, for example. This photo is then sent to the person you choose in the chat. You can photograph the outside of the shipment, for example, to show that it is all properly packaged, or the contents. In the settings menu you can also take or upload a profile picture or the company logo. This photo is seen instead of the avatar that you see in the chat. In this way you can see your answers more easily. The user conditions of photographs are available through this link.

We inform the recipient regarding your shipment

As soon as you book a shipment, the recipient is informed about the shipment you have send. This is done by email. These emails are send in several languages depending on the destination.

The picture of the shipment and the chat message are also send to the recipient within this email. The chat you can also use to send a hyperlink.

If the sender has used the mobile phone number of the recipient and the recipient has installed Wuunder using the same mobile number the shipment is also visible within the app.  If the recipient already uses Wuunder, notifications are also sent.

Your (company) name, photo of the shipment and the content of the chat are also shown to the recipient. If you do not wish this, do not pass on your telephone number and email address (by clicking on the skip icon >|). This means that the recipient is unaware that a shipment is underway and when it will be delivered. Also, the driver cannot contact the recipient if he/she cannot find the delivery address, for example. As a result, the shipment will be returned more quickly.

 

SERVICE & RATES
Who is transporting my shipments? 

Wuunder uses well-known carriers (like DHL, DPD, FedEx/TNT, PostNL, GLS etc) and various specialised carriers for pallets and freight. You can see which carrier has been contracted on the shipping label.

It’s also possible to predefine certain carriers. For example only DHL or a combination of DPD for parcels and DHL Freight for pallets. Just send us an email with your preferences.

Have you made an error when booking a shipment?

If an incorrect volume, weight or delivery address is provided in error, the carrier can charge for extra costs. There are also additional costs if the recipient refuses to accept the shipment or the collection- and/or delivery address is a private / residential address (not business). We will pass these costs on to the sender as soon as the carrier sends us the relevant invoice.

Until what time can I book a shipment?

With Wuunder, you can book any time. Depending on the time of the day that you book, the app will indicate whether the carriers can still collect the shipment today or the next working day. If you have a regular pick-up (for instance daily) you can book a shipment until the driver arrives. Send us an e-mail when you have special requirements.

What is the difference between cheap, efficient and fast?

Based on your requirements, Wuunder looks for the best carrier. Cheap is the carrier with the lowest price. Fast is the carrier who can make the delivery in the least time. Efficient is a solution that lies between fast and cheap and is thus an advantageous choice. Send us an email when you need a tailor-made solution.

It’s also possible to predefine your choice of carriers. For instance DHL only. Or a combination for example DPD for parcels and DHL Freight for pallets.

 

 

 

What are your rates?

We offer the same or better rates that those you currently enjoy with your carriers. These are all-in rates, thus including fuel supplement and out-of-area surcharges. If the fuel supplements and purchasing rates change, you see this reflected immediately in the rates. When shipping for more then 75 Euro per week we automatically refund an amount up to 15%. This amount we refund directly into your account. Let us know when you ship more then 500 Euro a week and we’ll create a custom rate for you.

In what ways can I send a shipment?

You can use of various services: cheap, efficient or fast. These are both Express (usually delivered the following working day) as well as Economy services (not as fast) which can be chosen in combination with time options such as delivery before 9 am. The transit times are shown during the booking. We can collect & deliver the shipment at / to a residential, business location or parcelshop.

Wuunder selects the best carrier for you from more then 20 different transport companies. Do you want to choose the carrier yourself ? Just let us know.

If tomorrow is not quick enough then Wuunder is also able to deliver your shipment the same day. You can book before 12 hours in the morning and we deliver the same day before 22 hours in the evening at a residential address. When you need the fastest same day service we can arrange a direct courier.

You can also select “more options”, in which you can ask us via email to put together the required service. For instance if you want to ship multiple shipments at once. We can take care of all required activities. Send us an Excel file with the destination addresses and we’ll print the shipping labels, follow your shipments and take care of all communications with the carriers. It’s that easy!

PAYMENT OPTIONS
Is the amount in the app inclusive or exclusive of VAT? 

The rates in the app do not include VAT. The amount you pay does, of course, include VAT. We will send you a separate invoice when the size and weight of the shipment is not correct.

Can I cancel a shipment?

A shipment can be cancelled by sending Wuunder an e-mail as soon as possible after making the booking. Cancellation is possible until the time the shipment is collected. After that time, it is no longer possible to change the shipment. If the shipment has not yet been collected, Wuunder will contact the carrier so that the driver, who is most likely already on his way, is informed. Wuunder will be obliged to charge for any extra costs.

How can I pay?
  • You can pay via iDEAL. For this purpose we use payment provider Mollie.
  • If you are a business and would like to pay later, this this is possible. We can also provide insight into the shipping costs of various departments. Send an e-mail to Info@WeAreWuunder.com and inquire about options.
When do I pay for a shipment?

It is quick and easy for everyone to use the app and we want to keep it this way. This is why we ask for payment of each shipment after the booking is made. You will receive an invoice for each booking by e-mail at the address you provided when booking or in the settings menu. This is where you can also provide information such as a Chamber of Commerce registration number, a department number or a VAT number.

PREPARING & COLLECTING SHIPMENTS
What do I need to do with the shipping label?
  • Each shipment must be provided with the label that is sent to you by e-mail.
  • Print the label on white paper. Set your printer to best print quality and don’t adjust the label size.
  • Do not place any sticky tape over the barcode.
  • Stick the label to the top of the shipment (package) or on one of the two long sides in the case of a pallet.
  • Ensure than the barcode is flat and clearly visible (not folded over an edge, for example).
  • Remove any old barcodes that might still be present on the package.
  • It is a good idea to put a copy of the shipping documents, or at least the recipient’s address, inside the packaging. This is in case anything happens to the shipping label.
Collect shipments outside the Netherlands

When does the carrier collect my shipments? 

Depending on the service chosen, the driver will come to collect your shipment either today or the next working day, between 8.30 am and 6.00 pm.

What are the collection instructions for the driver?

We provide the sender’s telephone number to the carrier that is collecting the shipment. In this way, he/she can contact the recipient for any irregularities relating to the collection. The sender is the person that you use for the question “From whom do we collect your shipment?”

How do I get the shipping label?

The shipping label is sent to the e-mail address that you use for the question “From whom do we collect your shipment?”.

You can also print the shipping label via the link we provide in the app on your mobile, PC, Mac or laptop.

From whom do we collect your shipment?

We can pick-up shipments at both residential,  business locations and parcelshops.

During the booking we ask” Who can we collect the shipment from?”. Submit the details of the person and location where the shipment must be collected. The driver who works for the carrier collects the shipment at this address. Use a company name if possible.

The shipping label to be glued onto the shipment is sent to the e-mail address. Use the e-mail address of for instance the reception or the warehouse who will print the label.

The driver will use the telephone number if there are any questions when the shipment is collected. The shipping label can include these details. The shipment is always collected on the ground floor. This location must be easily accessible.

Send us an e-mail when you have other requirements or want to collect a shipment outside the Netherlands.

 

RECEIVING YOUR SHIPMENT
Delay or shipment issue

Wuunder arranges all your transport needs and offers pro-active shipment tracking. When a delay or issue occurs Wuunder takes care to solve the issue. We inform both the sender and receiver. You don’t need to take any action yourself.

  • Via the Wuunder app, browser or MyWuunder we inform the sender and receiver about the shipment issue. Please visit this link for more information
  • At delays we contact the carrier to get more attention to deliver your shipment
  • When the receiver address is wrong we contact the receiver to get the correct delivery address (optional)
  • We take care of the paperwork when a shipment is damaged or delayed and claim your loss at the carrier
  • Wuunder takes care of all your transport requirements and will search for alternatives if the Transport Management System does not offer the desired solution.

Do you deliver to the neighbours if the recipient is not home?
  • If the recipient does not open the door, the carrier is permitted to deliver the package to one of the adjacent addresses. The recipient is notified of this.
  • The shipment can also be returned to the closest pick-up location for the recipient (parcelshop or Postoffice).
  • The recipient may also receive more messages from the carrier directly with a more specific delivery time.
  • It looks like the shipment was opened during transport?
    • Wuunder uses carriers that are not Postal Service providers as described in the Post Office Act (2009). You accept that the carriers or competent authorities such as Customs & Excise can open shipments at any time for inspections & checks.
    • Carriers will never open shipments without good reason. Examples of this are Customs & Excise inspections or inspections after damage or if the shipment contains prohibited, dangerous or chemical substances/goods.
    Reporting damage or loss?
    • The recipient must report any visible damage immediately to the driver and indicate this on the shipment receipt.
    • If your shipment is damaged or is not delivered to the addressee, you must report this to Wuunder by e-mail within six (6) calendar days of receipt.
    • If your package is lost or damaged, you can submit a claim to Wuunder. We will submit this to the carrier.
    • In order to establish the severity of the damage, we will require a purchasing invoice, photos of the damage and the delivery slip.
    How can I track & trace my shipment?

    Via the multi-device platform you can always track & trace your shipments on your mobile ( App Store or Google Play),  Mac or PC ( Browser versie) and the eCommerce shipping software. In the overview screen you can see the most recent status of your shipments:

    • The track & trace icon shows the shipment is in transit. You will find the city information about where the shipment was last scanned here.
    • A car indicates that the shipment will be delivered that day (“Out for delivery”).
    • When you see a PostOffice icon the carrier has delivered the shipment at a parcelshop (“Available for pick-up”).
    • A package with a green circle and white check mark indicates that the shipment has been delivered.
    • When there’s something wrong the parcel has a red color with an exclamation mark.

    Being able to follow the shipment depends on the carrier. If the carrier does not support this system, no place name or vehicle will be visible, nor any package with a green circle. Click on the shipment for more information. You will find a link to the carrier’s website in the chat.

    • The receiver is able to click on the link in the e-mail you were sent. This is only possible if the sender has passed on the recipient’s e-mail address.
    • If you are the recipient, you can view your shipments in the app / browser as well. This is possible when the shipper has used the mobile phone number of the receiver. And the receiver is using this number during the installation (on-boarding).
